Frequently Asked Questions?
What if I can't make it to all the session?

Answer: Students are allowed to miss class sessions for any legitimate reason.
According to state law, each session missed must be made up. This is done
usually in a future class. If you miss day 5 and 8 for example, you will come back to
a day 5 and 8 of a future class. Missing class does NOT delay you getting your
permit. However, you must complete all sessions before you can complete Driver's
Education and get your license. There is also an alternative makeup plan that we
may do on a case by case basis. (substantial report). We do recommend that
student's keep absences to a minimum, however, it is common to have students
absent for class sessions.

Do I have to be 15 1/2 to take the class?

Answer: No, you should be close to 15 though. We often have students 15-17 in
class.

When do I get my learner's permit?

Answer: Students are eligible to get their instruction permit after the first day of
class, provided that they are old enough. Students must schedule their 1st driving
lesson before they get their permit.

What is included in your fee?

Answer: 30 hours of classroom and 6 behind the wheel lessons (2 hours each).

When is my first behind the wheel lesson?

Answer: Sometime after the first day of class.

Do you do home pick up for BTW's?

Answer: Home pick up is handled on a as needed basis. Students should never
cancel a behind the wheel lesson because they don't have a ride. Give us a call
and we will try to pick you up. If you need a ride home we can usually
accommodate you as well. We will do what we can. Although there are times that
we can not.

Answer: You will need to get another application signed by us to take to the DMV.
If you have completed driver's ed, bring your completion certificate. They will
charge you a fee.

I lost my completion certificate what do I need to do?

Answer: We can get you a copy, however during the day we are usually not at our
office, which is where the slips are required to be filed. As a result it may take time
to get you a copy and we will not be able to fax it to the DMV. Usually the DMV will
allow you to complete the road test without your slip, however, you will need it to
obtain your license.
