There are six lessons two hours long each. Students drive one hour and observe another student the second hour. Most students do their lessons about 3 weeks apart. However, it is up to students to schedule their appointments. Students need to make sure that they complete their BTW's in time for them to get their license.
To get an Instruction Permit Students must;
- Be enrolled in driver’s education.
- Enrollment takes place the first day of class.
- We send an enrollment form via email prior to the first day of class or students complete it on the first day.
- Must be 15 ½
- Students can NOT go to the DMV before they turn 15 1/2
- Must pass the written test.
- Completed with us as part of the classroom training.
- Must present required documents;
- MV3001 temps application form signed and dated by a KC's instructor.
- A government issued original birth certificate.
- Social Security Card - if you don’t have the card bring the number and another form of ID such as the student’s school ID.
- The student’s parent or legal guardian must sign their MV3001 temps application at the DMV with the student.
